Et viktig element i helsefrihetskampen foregår for tiden i Canada. Det er todelt. Én del gjelder lovforslag ved navn C-51 (og C-52), som vil gi myndighetene ekstreme udemokratiske rettigheter – om de blir lov. Det andre er noe som kalles Trilateral Cooperation Charter, og som er et forsøk på - under den demokratiske radar – å ”harmonisere” lovgivningen for naturmedisin og kosttilskudd mellom USA, Canada og Mexico. Som et mottrekk har helsefrihetssiden, ved advokat Shawn Buckley, laget et "Charter of Health Freedom", der de foreslår opprettelsene av et nytt "Ministry of Wellness" – som motvekt mot Health Canada, som er blitt et sykdoms-ministerium, akkurat som helsedepartementet her hjemme.

Det er spennende, det som foregår i Canada om dagen. Men enkelt å forstå for en utenforstående, er det ikke.  Undertegnede engasjerte seg første gang i helsefrihetskampen i Canada i 1996, da han var bosatt der, og før han kom til Norge og ble med i Fritt Helsevalg. Til tross for denne bakgrunn, og etter å ha fulgt med kontinuerlig er det ikke enkelt. Det har også vært "kamper" mellom de ulike involverte grupper i bransjen og i helsefrihetskretser. 

Les og forstå det du kan, så skal vi forsøke å utdype ved en senere anledning.

Fritt helsevalg er som kjent tilknyttet ANH. 

Det som er viktig å få med seg i første omgang, er at det som skjer i Canada om dagen, og resultatet av kampen, vil påvirke hele verden – også Norge.

Først og fremst vil The Trilateral Cooperation Charter, hvis harmonisering av lovgivningen (om kosttilskudd, naturmedisin etc.) mellom USA, Canada og Mexico lykkes, vil det bety slutten for DSHEA (Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act av 1994) i USA, og dermed stenges det gjenværende "helsefrihetshullet" på jorden. Når det er oppnådd, er neste skritt en Trans-Atlantisk harmonisering, mellom de tre nord-amerikanske land og EU, noe som allerede er på gang via det transatlantiske samarbeidet.  

Blir EUs regulativer styrende?

Vil dette i praksis medføre at Codex Alimentarius’ retningslinjer for vitaminer og mineraler fullføres, gis klør og tenner, og implementeres? 

Det er umulig å si i skrivende stund, men tendensen er ikke vanskelig å se!

Bill C-51 sparked a national uproar and awakened a health freedom movement across the country. It is not until now, that a groundbreaking solution is being offered by those who vigorously opposed Bill C-51.

The bold Canadian Charter of Health Freedom is being launched to the Canadian public and media September 10, 2008.

Through coast to coast rallies, assemblies and website www.charterofhealthfreedom.org  (http://www.charterofhealthfreedom.org/index.php  )the Charter will be available for public view for the first time in Canada. This solution is for legislators, regulators and the Canadian people in the way it handles Natural Health Products and Natural Medicine.

The Charter of Health Freedom contains a legislative proposal drafted by constitutional lawyer Shawn Buckley, President of the Natural Health Products Protection Association (http://nhppa.org/ ), after recent in depth consultations with catalyst Natural Health Groups from around the country. Please watch because the future of your health is being decided upon in the next election depending upon the mandate of each party. Ask all campaigners whether their party will support the Charter of Health Freedom. Make sure that they answer your question.

Get them a copy of the Charter available at www.charterofhealthfreedom.org on September the 10th.

Please watch: Your health is presently being hijacked in the pursuit of profits.  Make a stand now! Tell all of your local stores, your favorite  manufacturers and natural health magazines to get informed and not count on the promises of the government, Health Canada or the Canadian Health Food Association which does not represent the voice of Canadian consumers, nor is it representing the interests of small and medium sized manufacturers and retailers. The CHFA is simply a government funded, trade show organization.

Please watch: Many Canadians are not aware that currently there are Natural Health Product regulations in place at Health Canada, that are already ceasing your health choices. Ask all political candidates to drop the NHP regulations that are treating nature as drugs. Bills such as BILL C-51 and BILL C-52 will only make matters worse for the natural health industry which includes you.

Please watch if you think your health is more important than... somebody making money off of your illnesses.

Understand that the Canadian media stands to profit if the prohibition on direct to consumer advertising of drugs, is lifted in Canada byway of a new Food and Drug Act (BILL C-51).  Want more info?
