Fritt Helsevalg er medlem av National Health Federation, som mottok en henvendelse fra Natural Solutions Foundation. Henvendelsen kan ikke tolkes som stort annet enn utpressing. Utpressingen går ut på at NSF vil tvinge seg til en plass i National Health Federations delegasjoner til Codex Alimentarius, og det er dette saken dreier seg om. NSF har blitt nektet å ha en delegasjon i Codex selv.

Hvorfor er dette interessant?
NSF har stadig kommet med villedende og skremmende feilinformasjon rundt helsefrihetssaken. Vi mener det er viktig at informasjon som kommer ut skal være saklig og korrekt, og ikke bidra til forvirring og en følelse av maktesløshet, slik NSF har gjort, blant annet i videoen Nutricide. So, let’s put the Bullies to the real litmus test.  Let’s see whom the Bullies can count as their friends in the genuine health-freedom community.  How about the Alliance for Natural Health (ANH)?  No, definitely not as they have had their own exchange of words with the Bullies.  The American Association for Health Freedom (AAHF)?  No, definitely not Bullies’  friend either since AAHF is aligned with ANH.  The Dr. Rath Health Foundation?  No, they’ve been on to the Bullies from nearly the beginning.  Fritt Helsevalg, the Norwegian health-freedom organization?  No, again, they are on to the Bullies as well.  John Hammell’s International Advocates for Health Freedom (IAHF)?  No, most definitely not since Hammell has made it very clear that he sees the Bullies as pretty close to Devil material if not actually the Devil himself.  Then, how about La Leva di Archimede, the Italian health-freedom organization?  No, they dislike and distrust the Bullies too.  Okay, then the Danish health-freedom organization, MayDay?  No, they wouldn’t be caught dead with the Bullies either.  The National Health Federation?  No, and do you really need to ask?  How about the Natural Health Freedom Coalition (NHFC)?  No, most definitely not.  In fact, none of these nine important health-freedom organizations will associate with the Bullies at all.

Doesn’t that tell you something important?  Of course it does.  When this many real health-freedom organizations, who variously compete and cooperate amongst one another in a friendly way, are so united in their strong beliefs about the Bullies, what more do you need to be convinced that the Bullies are not your friends.

Does my telling you that the Bullies are not the nice people you would like to think they are making you so uncomfortable that it’s easier just to get angry at us and shut down? Or, are you one of those rare individuals who, despite the discomfort, prefers to know the truth, to see the World as it really is, without illusion

The Bullies know how to push emotional buttons.  Have they been pushing yours?  Do you respond in robotic knee-jerk fashion each and every time you receive one of the Bullies’ cries of alarm?  Well, if you do, then you’re a perfect lab rat.  Congratulate yourself because the Bullies have succeeded in conditioning you.  If, on the other hand, you have resisted the Bullies’ mind games, then I congratulate you because you have avoided their attempts to condition you.

In our last Press Release, in our expose of the Bullies’ threat, we were careful to state that – contrary to the Bullies’ claim – there had never been a public statement by the Chairman saying that the Federation had to share its Codex seat with the Bullies.  And that is true, there never had been, the Bullies were not telling you accurate facts.  But, what bothered me at the time was that there had been the possibility that the then-chairman, Claude Mosha, might have privately told them that.  So, with that in mind, I had the perfect opportunity to ask him.  And I did.

No, he said, and without hesitation, he remembered the circumstances and what had happened.  He never (his words) told the Bullies that Codex rules required us to share our seat with them.  I asked him again, to be sure:  “Are you certain?”  There was no doubt in his eyes.  “Never,” he said, as he sat as close to me then as you are from the words on the screen in front of you now.

There are enough genuine threats to our liberties out there that we do not need false ones just so an organization can grandstand and pretend that it is the only organization doing anything for health freedom.  The Bullies specialize in crying wolf and have done so repeatedly.

SEE THE BULLIES FOR WHAT THEY REALLY ARE

         It began with an e-mail from out of the blue.  From someone I had known – or thought I had known – for 40 years.  “I heard you on the Gary Null Show,” it essentially began, innocently enough, “and you were saying that the National Health Federation is the only voice of health freedom at Codex.”  So far, so good.  “But we cannot get our own seat at Codex and the Chairman told us that you had to let us sit with you, so we are demanding that you give us a place with you or else we will do whatever we can to take away your Codex seat.”  What!!!???

         That sounded like extortion to me – not the criminal kind, but the school bullying kind.  “Give me your seat at the lunch counter and I’ll leave you alone.”  That kind of thing.  Even when I was a boy, I never liked bullies and I still don’t – whether they are 5 years old or 60.

         Of course, I can imagine that this private e-mail to me was intended – in their sordid minds – to be the start of a negotiation process.  We would, they perhaps thought, start haggling over the terms.  No, sorry, I don’t bargain with bullies.  Period.  If anything, it only makes my Scot-Irish blood boil and my heels dig in even more firmly.  Wrong approach to try to threaten and bully us.

         There is no negotiating with bullies and the best approach, I decided, was to not answer privately, but to go public – very public – with their extortionist demand.  So, the Federation did.  We wanted you to know that we had been threatened – not physically, not criminally – but threatened nevertheless.  We wanted you to know that behind a slick and carefully crafted mask of pleasantness and camaraderie that beguiles and fools many otherwise-intelligent people was the ugly side of a couple who had crash-landed into the UFO community many years ago and reportedly wreaked havoc there as well.  Now it was and is the health-freedom community’s turn.

         So for going public with their threatening demand, the Doctor now labels me a “coward.”  But, wait, I always thought that cowards sneaked around, stabbed people in the back, and never confronted someone directly – or publicly.  Wouldn’t a coward have hidden this all and never gone public?  No, there’s a new definition of “coward” now since these Bullies have been exposed for what they truly are.  No, the new definition of a “coward” is someone who publicly exposes an extortionist’s demand.  Yes, that’s it.  Public exposure of a threat = cowardice.

But It Fits With Their Whole Style

         As we already pointed out, with links and all, in our Federation Press Release of June 30th (see http://www.thenhf.com/press_releases/pr_30_jun_2009.html), these particular Bullies wouldn’t know the truth if it bit them on the nose.  From Day One of our knowledge of them, they could not tell the truth about Codex.  In March 2005, when I first met the Doctor and her husband, I took them at face value.  I told them, “you need to take down your website statement that Codex is going to remove all vitamin and mineral supplements from health-food store shelves by July 31, 2005, because when that doesn’t happen it is going to make all health-freedom activists look like alarmists and fools.”  Did it come down?  No, it stayed right up there for way too long.  Were the supplements removed because of Codex, because of anything?  Nope – still there.

         I will not bother to repeat the incorrect statements and even lies made by these Bullies, they have already been recounted in part in our June Press Release.  But what I will tell you about that I did not know at the time of our last statement on the subject is something that dropped in my lap as if from Heaven and shows even more powerfully that these Bullies cannot be trusted to tell the truth.

         It happened during the just-finished Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) meeting in Rome, just last week.  I had to miss several of the sessions because of our need to draft and issue our Press Release and then respond to all of the incoming responses.  While I was sitting at a computer provided by the Commission for the delegates’ use in the main hall, a gentleman sat down beside me and greeted me as he did so.  I shook his hand and realized that this was Claude Mosha, the Claude Mosha, the former CAC chairman whom the Doctor and her fellow Bullies have claimed told them that the Federation had to share with the Bullies the Federation’s seat at Codex.

These Bullies Create a Situation & then Complain about It

         So, to further attack the Federation, the Bullies launch their extortionist demand just prior to the Codex meeting and create an enormously distracting situation where the Federation must spend a great deal of its time responding and then re-responding, thereby keeping the Federation from fully attending this meeting as it normally does.   Outrageously, they then complain about us missing some sessions of the meeting as a result, when they themselves caused it!  That takes some nerve!

         And where were they during the entire week-long session of the Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses in South Africa last November?  Where were they during the week-long Codex Committee on Food Labelling in Calgary last May?  Where were they during the week-long Codex Committee on Contaminants in Food in Rotterdam last March?  And where were they during the week-long Codex Committee on Food Additives in Beijing in 2008?  I’ll tell you where they were not – they weren’t at any of these meetings.   And these are just the meetings that immediately come to mind.  All of these Codex meetings the Federation attended and spoke out at in favor of health freedom, your health freedom – and free of distractions.  The Bullies were completely missing in action multiple times and for weeks at a time, but then they have the audacity to try to accuse the Federation of not speaking up on one issue during less than one hour of one meeting’s session!

         Please, please, send your thanks to the Bullies for successfully distracting the Federation from sessions of the most recent Codex meeting.  I am sure they would appreciate hearing from you about their handiwork.  And they can then proudly chalk it up as yet another of their Codex accomplishments.

They Cry Wolf

         Incredible sensationalists, these Bullies seem to thrive on drama.  The more the merrier.  They cry wolf to raise money.  We all oppose the anti-health-freedom moves of Congress and FDA bureaucrats but to create phony crises to raise money does no one justice and simply creates supporter fatigue.  You can only go to the trough so many times before it runs dry.

         There are enough genuine threats to our liberties out there that we do not need false ones just so an organization can grandstand and pretend that it is the only organization doing anything for health freedom.  The Bullies specialize in crying wolf and have done so repeatedly, whether it’s denouncing a 14-year-old FDA policy as a “new and imminent  threat” or claiming victory in eliminating wording from a bill that had already been eliminated before the Bullies even raised the “alarm.”  This is Standard Operating Procedure for the Bullies.

Bullies are Natural Braggarts

         Yes, bullies are natural braggarts.  They like to grandstand and talk big.  That’s their MO.  And these Bullies are no exception.  They love to claim that they must be doing something terrific up there at Codex because the Codex folks, well, they just don’t like the Bullies.  “See who our enemies are,” they prat, “we must be good!”

         Well maybe the Codex folks just don’t like thugs.  You know, even Stalin gave his old comrade Leon Trotsky the gift of a hatchet in his forehead because Trotsky could never rise above his roots as a conniving street thug from New York.  Perhaps it’s a simple case of “it takes one to know one.”

Your Choice:  Feel Good? Or the Truth?

         So, for those of you who follow the Bullies, are you an obedient Rat Warrior, clicking and donating upon demand?  And does that make you feel good, as if you are actually doing something for health freedom?  Does my telling you that the Bullies are not the nice people you would like to think they are making you so uncomfortable that it’s easier just to get angry at us and shut down? Or, are you one of those rare individuals who, despite the discomfort, prefers to know the truth, to see the World as it really is, without illusion?  Then, read on because here it is.

         Green with envy, and desperately wanting a seat at Codex, the Bullies have apparently flat-out lied about Dr. Claude Mosha, the former Codex chairman, telling them that Codex rules entitled the Bullies to a seat on the Federation’s own Codex delegation.  They have then used this lie to attack the Federation in an attempt to mislead their all-too-trusting followers.

         Incredibly, from the beginning of their existence as an organization, the Bullies have been repeatedly wrong about even the most basic Codex facts.  (Again, read or re-read our previous release at http://www.thenhf.com/press_releases/pr_30_jun_2009.html.)

         Incredibly, the Bullies have ignored such an important issue as CAFTA, at a critical time, to divert attention to other issues of lesser importance, thereby doing a great disservice to health freedom.

         Incredibly, the Bullies argue that it’s just a “turf war,” ignoring the fact that all of the other genuine health-freedom organizations can and do work together as and when necessary.

         And most incredibly of all, some people are unthinkingly buying into the Bullies slick words and fuzzy logic in the name of but to the detriment of health freedom.  We will not be wasting any more time on these Bullies when we have more important health-freedom work to do.

         I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that I of course wish that you would join with the Federation and support our health-freedom activities, which span nearly 55 years of service at this point.  But, if you don’t, then at least work with another genuine health-freedom organization such as AAHF, ANH, Dr. Rath, Fritts Helsevalg, IAHF, La Leva, MayDay, or NHFC, or all of the above.  The important thing is to not waste your efforts but to make them count.  Live the Truth, not an Illusion.
